Foodies Gain True Experience of Cape Breton Through Pop-up Dining at Right Some Good 2012

With nine days to go, Right Some Good 2012 is preparing to bring exclusive dining to Cape Breton by popping up at locations the public would least expect. After its widely successful campaign last year, pop-up dining is returning this year with new internationally renowned chefs being featured at varying venues from August 18 – 26, 2012. From the oceanside view at Le Noir Landing in Arichat to gazing at the stars on the roof top of Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site in Baddeck, fine dining and extraordinary entertainment will be popping up all around Cape Breton.

“We are very excited to be featuring six pop-up dining locations this year as venues across Cape Breton Island,” says Pearleen Mofford, event founder. “Pop-up dining is a way to bring the culture of Cape Breton alive for participants through feasting on top notch food at some of the Island’s most beautiful locations.”

Right Some Good participants will have the chance to experience the versatility and intricate skill level of these chefs who will produce the highest quality menus, each time in a unique setting. Pop-up dining is a short-lived dining event and growing trend across the globe. It provides chefs the chance to serve their most creative cuisine at exclusive and unconventional locations.

“It’s exciting to be part of this innovative culinary event,” says Matthew MacKenze, general manager, Keltic Lodge Resort and Spa located in Ingonish Beach. “After last year’s success, and the opportunity for our executive chef to be a part of the culinary brigade in 2011, it made our decision to surrender operations of our iconic Purple Thistle Dining Room for a night an easy one for us. Our entire culinary team is thrilled to have Chef Jolly taking the helm in our kitchen for a night. It will be a great night for our team and our guests.”
