Fellow foodie friends, we’re in for a treat at this year’s Right Some Good pop-up series. From August 23 to August 31, 2013, we’ll be hosting yet another amazing group of world-renowned master chefs.

“We’re really excited about the calibre of chefs coming this August,” says Pearleen Mofford, event founder. “This year’s high-profile lineup will impress even the biggest food enthusiast. Our chefs include Michelin Star award-winning chefs, members of the association of the Bocuse d’Or, consultants in the Chaine des Rotisseurs, Rosette appointed and celebrity chefs.”

The culinary talent travelling to Cape Breton this August include:

Chef Chris Bell (Antrim, North Ireland)

Chef Martin Blunos (London, England)

Chef George De Costa (Edmunston, Canada)

Chef Daniel Galmiche (Stockcross, England)

Chef Carl Heinrich (Toronto, Canada)

Chef Achim Loppert (Frankfurt, Germany)

Chef Dennis McIntosh (Runaway Bay, Jamaica)

Chef Vicky Ratnani (Mumbai, India)

Chef Andy Rea (Belfast, Ireland)

Chef Michael Reidt (Miami, USA)

Chef Gilles Troump (Lyon, France)

Chef Patricia Yeo (Chicago, USA)

We’ve added a few interesting twists to this year’s festivities. Two culinary workshops will be led by award-winning American Chef Michael Reidt. The key tricks of the trade will be revealed in a once-in-a-lifetime experience, you’ll have the chance to get up close and personal and learn from a master in the business.

Another exciting addition is the live Master Chef Face Off, Cape Breton’s own black box reveal. A popular cooking competition on TV now comes to Right Some Good. Not knowing the food contents of the box prior to the event, each chef devises a main course from the black box by using only the foods the box contains. Considered the most challenging of culinary competitions, the Right Some Good Master Chef Face Off will demonstrate the creative talents of these world-class chefs live before an audience.

Detailed chef’s bios are now online at RightSomeGood.ca. Tickets will be on sale soon!

Introduced to the cooking world at the young age of 13, Chef Carl has climbed the culinary ladder quickly. An inspiring summer stint at the Sooke Harbour House in 2003, his first professional kitchen, proved to be the perfect learning ground for a young, ambitious cook.

Chef Carl has moved across the country and beyond polishing and perfecting his culinary talent. Carl’s stages include time in the kitchens at Camille’s West Coast Fine Dining in Victoria, Marron Bistro in Toronto, Gramercy Tavern and Daniel in New York, Georges Blanc, La Regalade, and Le Comptoir in France and Alain Ducasse’ Le Louis XV in Monaco.

His experiences working under many talented chefs and running reputable restaurants were great tools, helping Chef Carl earn the title of the Food Network’s “Canada’s Top Chef” in 2012.

Chef Carl’s cuisine is inspired by quality ingredients and driven by classic and modern techniques. He makes food that he knows his mom would like to eat and keeps flavours pure, never getting too complicated. Don’t miss out on this Canadian superstar.
